200,000 chicks are rendered worthless and suffocated or thrown into a grinder completely aware of the pain they are facing.
100,000 cows are hung upside down and shot in the head, some still conscious get their limbs torn apart and cut off forcing them to suffer through it and die a very slow death
over 300,000 pigs are torn from their mothers. Their tails get cut off and their teeth get pulled out and they are unwillingly transported to slaughterhouses in horrible conditions causing majority of them to die from the heat or starvation. The survivors are treated the same as the dead and thrown into scalding water to remove their skin.
100 Elephants are poached each day for their tusks. This number is so dangerous considering there are under 400,000 elephants living today and they are extremely endangered at the rate poachers are killing. They are also beaten for training for entertainment purposes
9,000 dogs and cats are killed each day due to overpopulation in shelters.
I know a lot of your reactions to this might be who cares....wait....DOGS AND CATS?!?!?! yes. dogs and cats are killed all the time, but that's not the point. All of these unique, sensitive animals all have different characteristics and have so much to offer. Growing up in the country I've gotten so attached to so many animals. Pigs, horses, cows, and chickens and it absolutely disgusts me to know that some of the most enlightening beings are being killed every second for our own selfish needs. Its horrible!!

I understand this is extremely graphic, but this is the sad truth you've been hidden from. This is the Hyline Hatchery in Iowa. This happens each day. This isnt some sick horror movie. It has become a normal part of society. The way chicks are handled is appalling. The workers are rude and harsh and don't seem to understand that each little chick is a LIVING, BREATHING soul that is brutally murdered and robbed of a precious life.
